Dave Bearson Construction Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1978, providing quality construction services throughout the Pacific Northwest. For the first seven years, we focused on general contracting, building a reputation for professional workmanship and reliable service in the Portland and Southwest Washington area.
In 1979, everything changed when a family member suddenly fell ill. This personal experience opened Dave Bearson's eyes to the challenges faced by the physically challenged and elderly—particularly those whose physical conditions required adaptation of their living and working environments.
Driven by this personal connection, Dave began researching accessibility challenges. What he discovered was both surprising and concerning: there was a general lack of understanding within the construction and remodeling fields, and a critical need for knowledgeable, quality construction services that would meet the unique needs of the disabled and elderly.
That's when Bearson Enterprises made a pivotal decision: to specialize in providing functional, barrier-free environments for people with unique architectural needs. Since 1978, we've dedicated ourselves exclusively to accessibility solutions—not as a side service, but as our core mission.
